On a computer, Slack can be used through a browser or a desktop app which can be downloaded through the website or the Apple app store. In order to connect with your team, you will need the domain name and an account, for which you can sign up using your email.

The slack app is also available on smartphones and tablets, in case you want to receive message notifications on the go.
